Tomato prices soar to ₹80. Govt rolls out subsidy vans across Delhi-NCR

India has begun selling subsidised tomatoes in New Delhi at ₹52 per kg due to rising retail prices, which exceeded ₹80 per kg following crop damage from cyclone Montha. The operation will extend to other metros to stabilise prices amid reduced tomato supply from key growing regions.
